Railway lines run all around Burns Bog. This line is jointly owned by Burlington Northern Railway, and BC Rail (operated as CN Rail).

Railway is very much connected to the history of Burns Bog. The line that runs along the eastern margin of the Bog, now owned by Burlington Northern, was used to transport peat from the Western Peat Company's mining sites.
