This is one of the private landfills surrounding Burns Bog. There are seven private landfills around Burns Bog. Each of them receives garbage from the metropolitan area everyday. Although their sizes are not as big as the main landfill owned by the City of Vancouver, the effect of these garbage dumps on the Bog concerns ecologists.
