Although golf courses appear to be green, they are not "green" at all in an environmental sense. They have little value as
wildlife habitats. Grasses in golf courses are introduced species. Turf grasses are grown so intensively that water cannot infiltrate into the ground in a natural way (the same goes with lawn grasses).
Sunshine Woods Golf Course is small and the problems it causes should be less serious than a bigger one. However, additional golf courses in proximity of bogs can be dangerous for the Bog.
