RAE: Região Administrativa Especial (Special Administrative Region) SAR: Special Administrative Region Kinmen (Jinmen or Quemoy), overlooking the Mainland city of Xiamen, is controlled by Taiwan, but is not officially part of the "province" of Taiwan. It is, according to maps of both China and Taiwan, part of Fujian. Ferry service has recently begun between Xiamen and Kinmon. |
